    Hi,

I’ve a problem while running my engine model.

It returns me an error : “Total mass fraction must be equal to 1. Check input data for pipe 15”

Here’s a screen of the air composition for the pipe 15.

I don’t really understand this error, because firstly I used default values, and then I used exactly the same values for all the intake pipes, and the error is just about pipe 15.

    Have you got an idea?

    Thanks.

It is very strange. Probably the proble is before the model read the composition of the pipe.

Which version are you using? How many pipes does your model have? Are you using Wamer to build the model?

Edit your file.wam using a text editor. Look for the data information of the pipe 15 and compare with the pipe 14. It is easy to find that information following the labels.

I’m using the V1.1.0. I’ve 74 pipes and I used Wamer to build the model.

When I open the .wam in a text editor, informations of the pipe 15 are exactly the same as the pipe 14, obvisouly except the numbers of the connections.

After trying many things, I’ve just solved the problem by changing the duct type of some pipes from “Intake ports” to “Intake pipes”.

So I found a solution to avoid the problem, but I don’t know from where it comes.

Moreover, I tried to build the model on the V1.0.0, and it was the same, error of mass fraction, and when I switched the intake ports to intake pipes, no more mass fraction errors.

    Thanks

Probably it is a bug in the intake ports. I have never used intake port. The only difference between intake ports and intake pipes is heat transfer. You can use intake duct cooled by water. Meanwhile we will try to correct the bug for the next version. Thanks a lot.

There’s another minor bug on the V1.1.0, it’s when we want to change the parameters of the heat realease laws :

On the previous versions, we just had to enter the value and then press enter to validate. But on this release, it doesn’t work. We need to go into the .wam with a text editor and modify the values manually. Not very annoying, but I just would to report it.

That is a problem of the interface. We will check but if previous version it worked now it should work. Many thanks.
